Ultrasonic anti-blinding device for fine-mesh, clog-free screening

A Kasonic® ultrasonic anti-blinding device allows sifting of powders as fine as 25 microns (500 mesh) at high rates with no screen blinding. The patented device transmits ultrasonic frequencies to the screen surface in continuous or pulse mode, and permits adjustment of signal amplitude to maximize anti-blinding efficiency. The system automatically adjusts power to maintain constant frequency as screen loads vary.

The device operates with standard screens, reducing original and replacement screen costs, and can be installed on any new or existing vibratory screener with minimal modification.

Single or multiple transducers are supported independently of the screen, thereby prolonging screen life. The support bar is welded to the spacing frame walls at two points such that it does not interfere with center tensioning of the screen. As a result, screen life is extended beyond that of ultrasonic separators in which the transducer is fixed at the screen center along a support.

The units are offered on all new Kason VIBROSCREEN® separators, and can be retrofit on all makes of circular vibratory screeners in diameters from 18 to 100 inches.
