For Safety's Sake

The Kason Centri-Sifter® is designed to operate only as a closed system, with products fed into the machine thorough an inlet pipe attached to the inlet of the Centri-Sifter, and is sold based on the representation that you will attach your own inlet pipe to the Centri-Sifter inlet. The attachment of the inlet pipe to the inlet is designed to serve as a guard against possible bodily injury.

THE FAILURE TO ATTACH YOUR INLET PIPE TO THE CENTRI-SIFTER INLET, AND TO OPERATE THE MACHINE IN SUCH A MANNER, CAN CREATE A DANGEROUS SITUATION AND RESULT IN POSSIBLE BODILY INJURY FROM CONTACT WITH MOVING MACHINE PARTS LOCATED INSIDE THE CENTRI-SIFTER INLET.

Important Safety Information:

Proper installation, maintenance, and safe operation procedures are the responsibility of the purchaser. To ensure personal safety, all persons who use this equipment must read and understand the Instruction Manual before operation or performing maintenance. Should you have any questions, comments, or suggestions concerning this manual, please contact us.

To aid in the creation of a safe working environment, each Centri-Sifter is labeled as shown below. Should these safety labels become defaced or destroyed, please contact Kason Corporation for free replacements.

As a further safety precaution, each Centri-Sifter separator features a safety switch which, when properly connected, will cut power to the motor if either the Inspection Door or the Overs End Cover are opened. Wiring instructions are shown below. Note that the power supply to the machine must be locked out in accordance with OSHA standards before performing adjustments or maintenance.

Installation Tips

  1. Before installation, make sure the intended location of the machine provides enough room for the removal of the over end discharge cover and the sieve basket.
  2. Install the machine with the shaft horizontal.
  3. Set up inlet and outlet connections according to production and safety requirements (refer to "For Safety's Sake" above).
  4. Please refer to the Instruction Manual covering your model for more installation instructions.
